Technology Behind ChatGPT

There has been a tonne of buzz about OpenAI's release of ChatGPT in December 2022. This interest spans the broad field of artificial intelligence as well as the group of technologies that specifically support AI chatbots. It's fun to experiment with if, for example, you want to compose a Shakespearean sonnet about your cat or come up with some subject lines for some marketing emails, but it's also beneficial for OpenAI. 

In contrast, ChatGPT responds to a user's query based on the context and intent of the question. For instance, ChatGPT can perform tasks that Google and Wolfram Alpha cannot, such as writing stories or code modules. Fundamentally, Google's strength lies in its capacity to do extensive database searches and return a number of matches. The strength of Wolfram Alpha lies in its capacity to analyse data-related queries and make calculations in response to them. 

The strength of ChatGPT is in its capacity to parse queries and generate fully developed responses and results based on the majority of text-based data that is available digitally, or at least data that was available at the time of training prior to 2021. Let's use Google once more as an example. You are probably aware that when you ask Google to look up something, it doesn't immediately search the entire internet for the information you need. Google instead looks through its database for pages that correspond to that request. The data collection and spidering phase and the user interaction/lookup phase are actually Google's two key phases.
